Neighbor Coaching

Onsite emergency resilience coaching for Peeps who want to live in a collectively empowered neighborhood.

3 hours - $500 / group

    • 90-minute personal emergency preparedness training for you and up to 12 of your neighbors

    • 60-minute neighborhood emergency plan consulting

      • Personalized recommendations and advice

    • 30-minute next steps planning

After a virtual intake session, we create a comprehensive emergency plan for you and your Peeps.

    • Tailored plans for each household member that take into account primary locations and meeting points

    • Handy laminated tri-fold pocket guides of your emergency plan with copies for each household member to store in their go-bag

Home Hardening

Installation of critical safety modifications for Peeps who want protection without the DIY hassle.

Cost varies by needs

    • Furniture securing and earthquake strapping for at-risk furniture and appliances

    • Child safety lock installation to minimize earthquake damage

    • Mesh screen replacement for fire hardening where necessary

    • Proper storage of flammable supplies

    • Removal of electrical hazards and product replacements (if necessary)

    • Organization of emergency supplies

    • Fire-safe landscaping

    • Emergency supplies procurement

    • Apothecary garden for medical resilience

    • Defensible space clearing (gutters, dry brush, fire hazards on property)

    • Personal item inventory for insurance claims

    • Gets critical safety improvements implemented immediately rather than "someday"

    • Completes essential safety modifications without requiring more of your time + effort

    Yes, if you live in a community or with a group of roommates as your chosen family and want to prepare collectively for an emergency.

    No, if you’re a young, able-bodied, person or couple who feel confident that they can take care of the basics outlined in the binder themselves.

    Preparing for one or two young, able-bodied adults is significantly easier than preparing for a group of people, family with children, or people with access and functional needs. This is especially true if you’re a renter.

  • We do! You get 10% off any order of 2+ add-ons.*

    * this does not apply to Home Hardening, as those are custom rates.

  • Depending on the add-on you choose, there will be varying degrees of preparation required.

    We’ll make sure to let you know what those are well in advance of our session together.

  • Resilient Peeps will travel anywhere in California, but additional fees currently apply for home assessments and any in-person services outside of Oakland.

    We add a surcharge of $250 to the Emergency Resilience Binder for additional cities, plus $50 for each hour of travel + gas expenses for any city outside of SF or Alameda Counties.

    The 1-1 coaching + Emergency plans are conducted virtually and do not have additional surcharges.
